CCU Interiors was established in 2005 by Colleen Callinan Ueland, whose warm, collaborative approach and deep industry relationships have shaped the firm’s reputation for creating refined, highly personal interiors.
After earning degrees in History and Art History/Museum Studies, Colleen began her career in business development with Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in Chicago before joining Baker Furniture’s wholesale division, Baker Knapp & Tubbs.

Based in North Carolina’s Triangle region for more than 25 years, CCU Interiors has grown into a full-service design firm known for creating interiors that feel layered, timeless, and effortlessly livable. Colleen briefly stepped away from residential design to serve as an Account Executive with Schumacher, expanding her knowledge of luxury textiles and wall coverings, while working closely with the design community and a portfolio of internationally recognized brands.

Colleen’s aesthetic is rooted in understated elegance — balancing warmth, simplicity, and refined sophistication to create homes that are both beautiful and deeply functional. Her collaborative approach and attention to detail allow her to design spaces equally suited for intimate family living and gracious entertaining.
